How to Measure Your Finger

Prepare a Paper Strip

Cut a narrow strip of paper approximately 10 cm long. Have a pen and a ruler marked in millimetres ready.

Wrap Around Your Finger

Wrap the paper around the base of the finger you will wear the ring on. Keep it snug without squeezing.

Mark the Meeting Point

Mark where the paper overlaps. Check that the loop can also pass comfortably over your knuckle.

Measure in Millimetres

Lay the strip flat and measure to your mark. This is your approximate finger circumference.

Remember Your Knuckle

If your knuckle is wider than your finger’s base, measure both. Your ring needs to pass over the knuckle without fitting too loosely at the base.

There's a quietness in this piece that I didn't plan; it came from the metal itself.
I cut each orbital oval by hand, fitted them together one by one, then set the turquoise into a copper bezel pressed tightly around the stone.

Copper worn close to the skin is older than most medicine. The people I've made pieces for don't come back to tell me why it works; they just come back.
